Insulation Removal
in Utah homes.
Sometimes the first job is taking out what is already there. Insulation that is damp, flattened or has had pests in it needs to come out before anything new goes over it.
- Method
- Vacuumed out
- Bagged
- Sealed on site
- Then
- Ready to re-insulate
The job
description.
Old material that has got wet, been crushed underfoot or had rodents in it is not doing much, and laying new insulation over the top of it traps whatever is going on underneath. We vacuum it out through a hose into sealed bags.
It is not needed on every job. Plenty of attics can simply be topped up, and we would rather do that than charge you to remove something that is still working. We will tell you at the visit which one yours is.
Signs this is the
job your house needs.
If more than one of these sounds like your home, they usually share a cause, and it is usually this one.
The insulation up there looks flat, grey or matted
There are signs of rodents or nesting in the attic
Something has leaked into the attic or crawl space
There is a smell coming from the attic
You are re-roofing or doing other work up there
They usually share a cause. The visit is free and there is no obligation either way.
What the price
covers.
Every quote is itemized, so you can see what is in it and what is not.
01We look before recommending it
Existing material checked and photographed, because plenty of attics only need topping up rather than clearing.
02Floors and route covered
Runners down through the house before any hose or equipment is carried in or out.
03Vacuumed into sealed bags
Material drawn out through a hose straight into sealed bags, so it leaves without going through your living space.
04Deck cleaned and checked
The attic floor cleared and inspected, and any sealing done before new insulation goes in.
