Heat rises, and in an under-insulated house it keeps going straight out through the roof. We measure what is up there now, seal the gaps around lights, vents and pipe runs, then bring the whole floor up to depth.
Most attics are finished in a day. The material goes in through the hatch or a vent, so the crew spends very little time inside the living space, and floors are covered before anything is carried through.

01How much insulation should a Utah attic have?
R-49 is the usual target here, which is roughly fourteen inches of blown cellulose. We measure what is up there before recommending anything, since plenty of homes have some insulation, just not enough of it.
02Can you add to what is already there?
Usually yes, if it is dry and clean. If it is damp or has had pests in it, that comes out first, and we will show you why rather than just adding it to the quote.
03Will you need to come inside much?
Very little. Access is through the hatch or a roof vent, floors and stairs are covered before anything comes through, and we vacuum before leaving.
04How long does it take?
Most attics are a single day. Larger or awkward ones can run into a second, and we will tell you which yours is at the estimate rather than on the day.
