01Is it worth insulating a detached garage?
If you use it, yes. If it is purely storage and shares no wall with the house, the case is weaker and we will tell you that rather than quoting it anyway.
02Will the garage be warm afterwards?
It will hold temperature far better and be far more usable. Insulation slows heat moving, so if there is no heat source out there it will still be cooler than the house.
03Does the door really matter?
Yes. A bare metal door is a large uninsulated surface, and leaving it undone limits what the rest of the work achieves.
04What about the room above the garage?
That is usually the main reason people book this job. The garage ceiling is the floor of that room, and insulating it is normally what fixes the cold.
