The job
description.
Garages are usually the least insulated part of a house, and any room sharing a wall or floor with one pays for it. We insulate the walls, the ceiling and the door, treating it as part of the building rather than a shed attached to it.
If there is a room above the garage that never gets warm, the ceiling is normally the reason. That is the part most often skipped, and it is usually the part that makes the difference.
Signs this is the
job your house needs.
If more than one of these sounds like your home, they usually share a cause, and it is usually this one.
A room above or beside the garage is always cold
The garage is unusable in winter
You work or store things out there
The garage door is bare metal
You can feel the temperature change through the connecting door
They usually share a cause. The visit is free and there is no obligation either way.
What the price
covers.
Every quote is itemized, so you can see what is in it and what is not.
01What is there gets checked
Walls, ceiling, door and the surfaces shared with the house all checked and recorded first.
02Walls and ceiling
Insulated to at least R-13, with the ceiling prioritized wherever there are rooms sitting directly above it.
03The door
The door insulated too, since a bare metal panel undoes a good deal of the rest of the work.
04Cleared and shown
Everything cleared out of the way, the floor swept, and the work walked through with you.
