Know what you are
actually paying for.
Ten years on the Wasatch Front, 1,200 Utah homes, and one trained crew that does the work start to finish. Here is how we work, and what to check on any insulation quote before you sign it.
Questions worth
asking anyone.
Two insulation quotes can look the same on paper and mean different things once a crew is in your attic. These are the questions that tell them apart.
| What to ask | Our answer | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | Our own trained crew | A crew that changes between jobs is harder to hold to one standard. |
| How was it priced | Measured in your house | A price set without seeing the space describes an average home, not yours. |
| Is air sealing included | Done before insulating | Insulation slows heat. It does not stop air moving through open gaps. |
| What depth am I getting | Checked and recorded | Depth is what does the work, and it is easy to end up short of the number quoted. |
| Has moisture been checked | Checked before quoting | Insulating over a damp crawl space covers the problem instead of solving it. |
| Who do I call afterwards | The same crew | You want the people who did the work, not someone reading it off a file. |
Your heat is
leaving somewhere.
In an under-insulated Utah home, roughly this much of what you pay to heat walks back out. Fix the biggest bar first.
Rough shares for an older Utah home with original insulation. Yours will be its own mix, which is the whole reason we come and look before quoting a number.
Three things we
will not skip.
Three things we do on every job, whatever the size.
We measure, we do not guess
Every quote starts in your attic with a tape measure, not at a desk with your square footage. Two houses on the same street can need completely different work, and the only way to know is to climb up and look.
We seal the gaps first
Insulation slows heat down. It does not stop air. If the holes around your lights, vents and pipes are still open, warm air walks straight past whatever you just paid for. Sealing them first is what makes the whole job work.
The same crew, every time
We do not sub the work out. The people who quote your house are the people who insulate it, and the ones who come back if anything is wrong. Ten years in Utah attics means fewer surprises on install day.
